Duane Clark has been an owner of FBMM for more than a decade, is an award-winning business manager and is a trusted adviser to his roster of clients, including top recording and touring artists. As president, he is also responsible for leading FBMM’s strategic plan implementation that will ensure the continuity of its clients’ financial management and security for years to come.
Duane is a three-time winner of the Country Music Association’s Business Manager of the Year award. He has been included on lists in various industry trade publications, such as Billboard’s Country Power Players, Billboard’s Top Business Managers and Variety’s Business Managers Elite. MusicRow Magazine has recognized Duane as a Nashville leader for the past four years.
Duane was the recipient of the ACM Service Award named in honor of Mae Boren Axton. This award is presented to an outstanding country music artist, duo/group, or industry leader in recognition of years of dedication and service to the Academy of Country Music.
Behind the Scenes
Duane has served on the ACM board of directors since 2009 and continues to serve as a member of the Chairman’s Circle. From 2011 through 2016, Duane served as treasurer of the Academy’s board, a role that put him in the trenches during the five-year planning process leading up to the 50th anniversary telecast of the ACM Awards at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX, in 2015. He worked alongside the ACM’s CEO and staff while meeting with Texas state officials and representatives of the Dallas Cowboys organization for the event, which still holds recognition by the Guinness World Records for the highest attendance at an awards show broadcast (70,252). He served as chairman of the organization from 2018 to 2019.
Duane also served as treasurer for ACM’s Lifting Lives, the philanthropic partner of the organization that provides aid in times of need, with a focus on health-related initiatives.
As financial adviser to the Country Radio Broadcasters organization, the nonprofit responsible for the annual Country Radio Seminar three-day educational event in Nashville, he lends his time and experience to the leadership and board focused on future CRS events and operations.
He is a member of the Country Music Association, the Academy of Country Music and The Recording Academy and is a charter member and alumnus of SOLID.
