Associate Business Manager
New York, NY
Brad Akin dabbled in artist management just long enough to know it wasn’t his calling, but it gave him a front-row seat to what artists really need: a steady guide who can help turn creative success into financial strength. He joined FBMM in 2008 and knew immediately that business management was where he wanted to spend his career. Today, he helps clients become confident, financially minded CEOs of their businesses. Brad specializes in managing international touring, having overseen more than 4,100 tour dates in over 50 countries, and spends his days finding ways to leverage both established and emerging tools to better serve his clients.
Behind the Scenes
Brad is a member of the Academy of Country Music and the Country Music Association. Outside of work, Brad can be found overseeing the complex logistics associated with raising two young boys and volunteering with New York Cares.
Before joining FBMM, he worked as an artist manager at In De Goot Entertainment and at Intrigue Music.

• Brad’s first concert was Autopilot Off – little did he know that he would one day work alongside the bass player of that band, Chris Hughes, at FBMM.
• Adoption advocacy and education has become an important part of Brad’s life.
• Brad’s hidden talent? Woodworking. He and his wife enjoy taking old furniture and turning it into something new.
